Overview
Cedar Creek Corrections Center (CCCC), on Bordeaux Road near Littlerock, Thurston County, is a minimum-security men’s prison and one of the smaller institutions in the Washington state system. It sits southwest of Olympia in the wooded southwestern corner of the Puget Sound region. The facility operates the standard WA DOC programming — education, work, and treatment — within its minimum-custody units, and is the original site of the Sustainability in Prisons Project.
What Makes Cedar Creek Different
- It is a minimum-custody men’s prison, one of two minimum-security institutions in the Washington system.
- It is the original site of the Sustainability in Prisons Project, a partnership between WA DOC and The Evergreen State College that brings conservation work and science education into the prison. Address mail with the incarcerated person’s committed name and DOC number to the facility’s mailing address (above); mailroom staff review incoming mail and publications. Books and magazines must come directly from a publisher or an approved vendor, and used books are accepted only from approved nonprofit organizations.
