The Walker Sayle Unit is a Substance Abuse Felony Punishment Facility (SAFPF), one of the TDCJ facilities built around court-ordered substance-use treatment rather than general-population custody alone. Getting There and Parking

Sayle is near Breckenridge in Stephens County, in North-Central/West Texas. The unit sits on a farm-to-market road outside town, and services thin out on the final approach.

There is no fixed-route public bus to the unit, so the trip is by private vehicle. Breckenridge is the nearest service center for gas, food, and groceries before the unit, and options thin out on the final farm-to-market approach.

Contact has a sequence to it. A phone number must be on the incarcerated person’s approved contact list before calls can connect, and after intake or a transfer that approval can take time to process.
