Money for an incarcerated person in Nevada is deposited into the person’s trust account, which the person uses for commissary and phone and tablet charges. NDOC processes deposits through outside vendors, not at the prison or in the visiting room. Because NDOC has used more than one banking vendor, confirm the current vendor, payee, and address on NDOC’s banking page before sending.

Online and phone deposits (ConnectNetwork)

NDOC’s Offender Banking Services page directs online and phone deposits through ConnectNetwork (the ViaPath/GTL platform):

  • Online: register at connectnetwork.com and send money with a debit or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, or Discover).
  • By phone: call ConnectNetwork at 1-888-428-1845.

A per-deposit fee applies, set by the vendor. The deposit needs the person’s name and NDOC ID number and the institution, so confirm the person’s current location on the NDOC inmate search first.

By mail (money order)

NDOC’s Money Order Deposit Form routes mailed deposits to an outside lockbox rather than to the institution. As printed on that form:

  • Make the money order or cashier’s check payable to Access Corrections.

  • Mail it with the completed deposit form to:

Access Corrections – Nevada DOC P.O. Box 12486 St. Louis, MO 63132

The form lists a daily deposit limit of $2,999, a hold on personal checks (with funds released after a processing period), and a requirement that the sender provide a Social Security number for deposits of $3,000 or more. Mailed deposits take longer to post than card deposits. Cash is not accepted by mail.

What the account pays for

Funds in the trust account are used for:

  • Commissary — food, hygiene items, and other approved goods sold at the institution.
  • Phone and tablet charges — calls and tablet services run through the NDOC communications vendor. For how calls and video visits are set up, see Phone & Video in Nevada.

NDOC applies statutory deductions to incoming funds for debts the person owes (such as restitution, fees, or medical co-pays), so the full deposit amount may not be available for spending.
