Nebraska's men-only community corrections center in Omaha, across from the Omaha Correctional Center, where people at the lowest custody level live while on work release.
Overview
The Community Corrections Center–Omaha is one of Nebraska’s two community corrections centers — the lowest custody level and least restrictive setting. It holds men only (about 160 as of August 2025) who are typically nearing release and on work release, work detail, or educational release, so they regularly leave the facility during the day for jobs or school. It sits directly across from the Omaha Correctional Center and uses that prison’s medical clinic. Residents pay a daily room-and-board charge of $12.
What Makes CCC-Omaha Different
It is a work-release facility, so a resident may be at a job or school in the community during weekday business hours rather than at the center.
It is men-only and the smaller of Nebraska’s two community corrections centers.
In-person visiting is weekend-only and split alphabetically by last name (A-L on Saturday, M-Z on Sunday), in short time slots.
It is across the street from the Omaha Correctional Center, whose clinic provides medical care.

Nearby Services
Omaha has food, gas, and lodging throughout the city. The nearest 24-hour emergency room is CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center–University Campus on Cuming Street.
Mail
Personal mail does not go to the facility. Nebraska scans incoming personal letters, cards, and photos through an off-site vendor (TextBehind, Box 247, Phoenix, MD 21131); the person reads them as images on a ViaPath tablet or receives photocopies. Money, books, publications, and legal mail go to the facility’s own address — 2320 Avenue J, Omaha, NE 68110. Full addressing details are in Mail & Packages.
