St. Louis Correctional Facility, on N. Croswell Road in St. Louis, is a higher-security (Level IV) men’s prison in central Michigan on a 67-acre site, with a double-fence perimeter and gun towers. It opened in 1999. One of its housing units is an Adaptive Skills Residential Program (ASRP) unit, and the facility has on-site mini-clinics and telemedicine. It is one of two MDOC prisons in St. Louis; the other, Central Michigan, is a Secure Level I facility on Hubbard Street.
