Overview

Kinross Correctional Facility, on W. Industrial Park Drive in Kincheloe, is a Level I and II men’s prison in the eastern Upper Peninsula. It originally opened in 1977 and relocated to the former Hiawatha Correctional Facility site in October 2015. It offers welding and CDL (commercial driver) vocational training, including on-site simulators. It is adjacent to the separate Chippewa Correctional Facility, also in Kincheloe.
