Phone & Video Calls in Arkansas (ADC)

How calls work
Arkansas’s communications vendor is Securus. The inmate places outgoing calls only — there are no incoming calls. Families receive calls by setting up a prepaid Securus AdvanceConnect account (funded up to $50 per transaction), or the inmate can pay from a debit account they fund themselves. A phone deposit can also be made by automated phone line at (501) 474-6460 (with a $25 minimum); Securus customer support is 1-800-844-6591.
ADC does not publish a per-minute call rate. The rate is set in the Securus portal for each unit and has been changing — both because Securus sets it per facility and because federal price caps for prison calls have been in flux. Check the current rate in the Securus portal before funding an account. ADC does not publish any free-call allowance.
Tablets
ADC runs the Securus SecureView tablet program. Tablets can place phone calls (subject to unit rules) and handle messaging, music, e-books, games, and job-search content. Eligibility depends on the inmate’s class and housing. The monthly tablet fee is not published by ADC — confirm it through Securus.
Messaging
Securus also provides electronic messaging (email-style messages, with photo attachments), all subject to review by the facility. The price per message is not published by ADC; Securus shows it in the portal only after you select the specific person. Set up messaging through Securus.
Video visits
Video visitation runs through Securus, and the system is changing:
- The older system uses on-site kiosks at the unit and has been priced at $5.00 per 30-minute session, scheduled in advance.
- ADC has announced a move to Securus Video Connect — a remote, app-based service at about $0.25 per minute, available on demand from home.
