How to deposit

Ohio routes money to an inmate’s trust account through ViaPath / ConnectNetwork, processed by TouchPay Holdings, doing business as GTL Financial Services. Deposits can be made:

  • Online at ConnectNetwork.com,
  • through the app,
  • by phone, or
  • by a mailed money order.

For any method you need the person’s full name, ID number, and current location. Fees vary by amount and method, so check the vendor’s fee schedule for the current fee rather than relying on a fixed figure.

Confirming the current vendor

Some third-party sites still list JPay or Access Corrections for Ohio. Those are legacy from the prior vendor and are no longer the deposit method. For the authoritative current deposit method, use ODRC’s official “Incarcerated Population Funds” page, and check the vendor’s fee schedule for current fees.

How the account works

Money sits in the person’s trust account and is sent through ViaPath / ConnectNetwork; it cannot be handed over during a visit. Funds are spent through the prison’s system, and other obligations may be deducted from deposits.
