Maine's minimum-security men's work-release facility, on the same Warren campus as the Maine State Prison — for men with five years or less left to serve, with weekend visiting in two-hour blocks.
Overview
Bolduc Correctional Facility is Maine’s minimum-security men’s work-release facility, sharing the Warren campus with the Maine State Prison. It holds men in minimum and community custody who have five years or less left to serve, and its focus is reentry: education, vocational training, substance-use treatment, and a community work-release program that lets residents work in the community as they near release. Reflecting that community-custody mission, the facility is led by a director rather than a warden.
What Makes Bolduc Different
It is a work-release facility. Bolduc is built around community work release for men close to the end of their sentences.
It shares the Warren campus. Bolduc sits next to the Maine State Prison, but it is a separate facility with its own address and visit line — confirm which one holds a person.
A different leadership structure. A director and a community programs coordinator run the facility, in keeping with its pre-release role.
