Sending Money in Idaho (Idaho DOC)
How to deposit money to an Idaho DOC resident account through Access Corrections — by app, online, phone, retail cash, or mailed money order.
How to deposit through Access Corrections
Money for commissary and personal spending goes into the resident’s account. Idaho DOC handles these deposits through Access Corrections, which is the only money vendor. There are several routes:
- Online at accesscorrections.com, using a credit or debit card.
- In the Access Corrections mobile app, using a credit or debit card.
- By phone, on the Access Corrections line at 866-345-1884.
- With cash at retail, at participating stores including CVS, Dollar General, Family Dollar, 7-Eleven, and Walgreens, through cashpaytoday.com.
- By money order or check, mailed to the lockbox (see below).
Mailing a money order or check
Mailed money orders and checks go to the Access Corrections lockbox, not to the prison:
Secure Deposits — Idaho DOC, PO Box 12486, St. Louis, MO 63132
Include the resident’s full committed name and IDOC number so the funds reach the right account, along with the sender’s name and return address. A money order intended for the resident’s account goes to this St. Louis lockbox — not to the facility where the resident is held.
Fees
Service fees apply to every method except the mailed lockbox — that is, fees apply to the online, app, phone, and retail cash methods. The mailed money order or check to the lockbox is the one route without an added service fee. Specific fee amounts are not published here, and fees can change over time, so confirm the current amount before paying.
Don’t hand money over at a visit
Funds are added only through the Access Corrections methods above. Money cannot be handed over in person during a visit. A money order intended for the resident’s account goes to the Secure Deposits lockbox in St. Louis, not to the prison.
Residents held out of state in Arizona
Some Idaho residents are held in Arizona at facilities operated by CoreCivic. For a resident held out of state, the deposit method can differ from the standard Idaho DOC process. Confirm the current way to send money with the facility before depositing.
