Sending Money in Arkansas (ADC)
How to deposit to an Arkansas inmate's trust account through CorrectPay or Access Corrections — online, by phone, with cash, or by money order — the two separate accounts, and why fees, limits, and the money-order policy should be confirmed at the source.
Electronic and cash deposits
Arkansas uses two approved vendors for deposits to an inmate’s account:
- CorrectPay (VendEngine): online at ar.vendengine.com, by phone at (501) 474-6460, or through the app; customer support 1-855-836-3364 (option 2).
- Access Corrections: online at accesscorrections.com, by phone at (866) 345-1884, or with cash at retailers (CVS, Dollar General, Family Dollar, 7-Eleven, Walgreens) after registering for a barcode at cashpaytoday.com.
You will need the inmate’s name and ADC number (look it up on the ADC Inmate Population Information Search). There are two separate accounts — a trust account for commissary and a phone account for calls — and money cannot be transferred between them, so deposit to the right one. Fees and limits vary by vendor, method, and amount; ADC’s pages list different caps in different places, so check the current fee and limit at the vendor before paying. Do not use Cash App, Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, or similar apps.
Sending a money order by mail
A money order can be made payable to the inmate’s name and ADC number, enclosed with a deposit slip (downloadable from the ADC banking page), and mailed to:
Arkansas Division of Correction Trust Fund Centralized Banking P.O. Box 8908 Pine Bluff, AR 71611
Important: ADC’s materials are inconsistent about mailed money orders — one official page indicates paper money orders are no longer accepted, while the family guide still lists the mailing instructions. Confirm with Trust Fund Centralized Banking or the vendor (866-345-1884) that a mailed money order will be accepted before sending one. Personal checks, cash, and certified mail are not accepted.
How the account works
The trust account works like a checking account and follows the inmate between units; it is used for commissary. An inmate qualifies for free indigent hygiene items only if the balance is under $10 and they received less than $10 in the prior 30 days. The documented charge against the account is the $3 medical co-pay (see Medical & Mental Health); ADC does not publish a broader schedule of automatic deductions for restitution or court costs inside its prisons.
